The typical ion exchange system commonly known as a water softener or conditioner consists of a pressurized mineral tank filled with negatively charged water softener resin that is capable of removing hardness ions and other positively charged ions and replacing them with more desirable, stable, water-system-friendly ions.
​The mineral tank is connected to a brine tank that is filled with brine solution, which periodically regenerates the resin beads. During the regeneration process, the brine solution flushes the calcium and magnesium off the resin bed through an exchange of negative and positive ions before being sent to the drain. This process restores the ability of the resin to remove another cycle of undesirable minerals, providing you with softened water.
In the Bathroom: Your soap and shampoo will lather better. Your hair and skin will feel noticeably cleaner, softer and not as dry. Additionally, there will be no soap scum or mineral deposits to clean off sinks, showers, tub or toilets.

VESTA SALT-FREE WATER
CONDITIONERS
VESTA® salt-free water conditioners feature Filtersorb SP3 media. The media takes advantage of a technology in which the chemical structure of scale forming minerals is changed. Calcium and Magnesium hardness is transformed into non-soluble micro crystals. This technology is so effective that it requires a contact time of only seconds.
​
The media is used in an up-flow system with no back-washing necessary, therefore only an in-out head is needed. FilterSorb SP3 transforms the dissolved calcium carbonate (temporary hardness) into non-charged, neutral chemical bonds. The bonds are completely stable and can't attach to any surfaces, so the chemical bonds are just rinsed away by the water flow.
​
The size of the bonds is so small, in the range of nano-meters, they can only be seen with a microscope. Therefore the effect is the same as if the water was free of temporary hardness (calcium carbonate). The media is used to clean pipes from already existing scale and to help protect pipes and hardware from scale.

Does your water smell like rotten eggs? Do your sinks & toilets have orange staining? The VESTA® AIO™ Air Injection Oxidation Filter System may be the answer to your problems. The VESTA AIO™ System, as a single tank system, is an efficient and cost effective system. The need for additional equipment...air tanks, feed pumps, or harsh chemicals (like those used in Manganese Greensand Systems) is virtually eliminated!
Iron and Sulfur, naturally occurring elements, can be removed using nature’s own process of oxidation. The VESTA AIO™ maintains an “air pocket” in the top of the tank while the system is in service. As water passes thru the air pocket, iron and sulfur are oxidized. The VESTA AIO™ filter media bed then removes the oxidized iron and sulfur from the water. Additionally, dissolved oxygen is added to the water.
The VESTA AIO™ can remove up to 8 ppm Hydrogen Sulfide and up to 7 ppm Iron. A daily backwash will remove accumulated iron and replenish the filter media bed. The regeneration process also adds a fresh air pocket to the system.
By reducing the iron and sulfur buildup in your water your appliances will last longer. Rust and slime buildup make your appliances work harder and less efficiently, requiring more maintenance or replacement.
